Text messages
SMS terms
Effective June 6, 2026
Program description
Inkslips sends appointment text messages to tattoo studio clients on behalf of the studio they booked with. Messages include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and aftercare check-ins after a session. These are transactional messages tied to a specific appointment.
How you opt in
When you book on a studio’s Inkslips booking page, you enter your name and mobile number and tick a checkbox that reads:
“I agree to receive text messages about my appointments and aftercare from [studio name] at this number (optional).”
Beneath it, the same box says who the messages come from (the studio’s name), that they are appointment messages only, up to about 6 messages a month, that message and data rates may apply, that you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, and that you can still book if you skip it. It links to these SMS Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The checkbox is unticked by default and sits on the studio’s public booking page directly beneath the name and mobile-number fields.
You can also opt in directly with Inkslips at inkslips.com/sms-optin, where you enter your mobile number and tick a consent checkbox.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. Your mobile number is collected directly from you and is never purchased, rented, or sold.
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies with your appointments (up to about 6 messages a month). Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out & help
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe; you will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact your studio directly.
Privacy
No mobile information, including your phone number and SMS opt-in or consent, is sold, rented, shared with, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
